Epitalon, also spelled Epithalon, is a synthetic peptide made of four amino acids. It was developed from research on a pineal gland peptide complex called Epithalamin. It is studied primarily in longevity research, including telomere biology, biological timing, immune signaling, gene activity, and cellular aging.

Epitalon may appeal to adults taking a proactive approach to longevity, especially those interested in supporting healthy cellular function with age or noticing signs of circadian rhythm disruption, like inconsistent sleep or energy that dips as the day goes on. 

The medication should be refrigerated immediately after arrival to maintain quality. The medication should be stored at 2-8°C (36-46°F). Keep the vial protected from direct sunlight and do not freeze or shake it. Always follow the storage instructions and beyond-use date provided on your prescription label.

Epitalon may not be appropriate for everyone. Do not use Epitalon if you:

• Are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding

• Have a known allergy or hypersensitivity to Epitalon or any formulation component

• Have active cancer or are currently undergoing cancer treatment

• Have been diagnosed with or treated for cancer within the past 5 years

• Are currently being evaluated for possible cancer, including an unexplained lump, abnormal imaging, or abnormal biopsy

The following may require additional provider review before treatment:

• Active or uncontrolled autoimmune disease

• Adrenal or cortisol-related conditions

• Hormone-sensitive conditions

• Regular use of melatonin, prescription sleep medications, sedatives, immunosuppressants, hormonal therapies, other peptides, or growth factors
  
  
  

Potential side effects may include injection-site redness, swelling, itching, tenderness, or irritation, temporary fatigue or drowsiness, vivid dream, headache, lightheadedness; changes in sleep patterns; or mild mood changes.

Less commonly, individuals may experience digestive discomfort, nausea, diarrhea, temporary appetite changes, restlessness or increased energy, or mild skin sensitivity or rash.
