Refund and Return Policy
At EllieMD, patient safety is our top priority. Due to strict federal and state regulations, we are unable to accept returns or provide refunds for prescription medications once they have been dispensed, as they cannot be reused or resold. For this reason, all prescription sales are considered final.
New Orders
Order cancellation is not guaranteed after an order is placed. Cancellation requests can be submitted through our support portal.
- If your order is successfully canceled after payment has been processed but before your prescription has been transmitted to a healthcare provider or pharmacy, you will receive a refund minus a $99 administrative cancellation fee.
- If your prescription has already been processed by the pharmacy, no refund will be issued, and you are responsible for the full cost of the order.
- If your provider determines that you are not medically eligible for the prescribed product, your product payment will be refunded in full. A separate medical review or assessment fee, if applicable, may be refunded on a case-by-case basis.
Subscription Renewals
EllieMD subscriptions, including those for weight management services, renew automatically unless canceled at least forty-eight (48) hours before the renewal date. If not canceled within this timeframe, your subscription will renew and you will be responsible for the associated payment. Cancellation requests submitted fewer than 48 hours before the renewal date will not take effect until the following subscription period.

Your renewal date is based on the subscription duration from your original purchase date. Each product has a unique subscription duration — check the applicable product page for details.
If a renewed subscription is canceled after payment has been processed but before the prescription is transmitted to a provider or pharmacy, you are eligible for a refund minus a $99 administrative cancellation fee. No refund will be issued once the prescription has been processed by the pharmacy.
Non-Refundable Prescription Products
All pharmaceutical products and prescription medications are non-refundable. Once a prescription is processed by the pharmacy, no refund will be issued regardless of the reason for discontinuation, including but not limited to side effects, adverse reactions, a provider's recommendation to discontinue treatment, or a change in your health status. This policy complies with regulations established by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
If you experience symptoms or concerns, please contact your medical provider through the patient portal. For medical emergencies, seek immediate in-person care or call 911.
Subscription Cancellations During the Cycle
Certain products require a minimum subscription commitment (for example, Ellie Health's Weight Management services require an initial three-month minimum subscription). Whether paid in full or in installments, you are responsible for the full cost of the minimum commitment period.
To avoid being billed for the next subscription cycle, you must cancel your subscription at least 48 hours before the renewal date at the end of your current cycle. If you cancel at any point during the current cycle, you remain responsible for the full payment for that cycle. If you are paying in installments, cancellation does not relieve you of your obligation to pay the remaining installments for the active subscription term.
Failure to cancel before the renewal date will result in automatic renewal for a subsequent period, and you will be responsible for the full cost of that renewal period.
Presale and Introductory Offer Purchases
Presale and introductory offer purchases are charged in full at the time of order and are fulfilled in the order received. Orders will be shipped within the timeframe specified at checkout (typically within 30 days), unless otherwise communicated.
- Presale subscriptions: Discounted pricing remains valid only while the subscription remains continuously active. If the subscription is canceled, paused, or allowed to lapse, future purchases will be billed at the then-current retail price. If no shipment is fulfilled within a 90-day period due to a modification or postponement, locked-in pricing will be forfeited.
- Introductory offers: Unless explicitly stated otherwise, intro offer discounts apply to the first order only. Subsequent subscription orders will be billed at the then-current standard pricing.
Financing Option Adjustments
If you are enrolled in a financing option program and wish to switch to a full payment plan after your renewal charge, you may contact support@elliemd.com within seven (7) business days of the renewal charge. In this case, the remaining balance will be charged without a finance charge, if applicable.
